GÜNSELI TÜRKAY

With a degree in Fashion Design from Florence's Accademia Italiana, designer Günseli Türkay worked as a consultant for the Pasaj Istanbul agency before launching her own label, now sold in Istanbul's prestigious Beymen stores.

She won Turkey's 1st Young Fashion Entrepreneur Award, in partnership with the British Fashion Council. Color is omnipresent in her collections, which she works with subtlety, while retaining a handcrafted approach. She is developing research into typical Mediterranean embroidery.

Mediterranean Fashion Prize (MFP 2010-2018): a prize dedicated to designers from the Mediterranean basin, with a program of e-learning and expert guidance, leading to a week in Marseille with the entire graduating class.
