PETJA ZOREC is part of the new wave of Slovenian designers. In 2013, she graduated with a Master's degree in design, and since then has regularly appeared at Ljubljana Fashion Week. Her collections fulfill everyday expectations by playing with notions of gender and preconceived ideas. Combining traditional textile techniques with high-tech, her garments oscillate naturally between play and work, slowness and velocity, combining comfort and technicality. Petja Zorec designs men's sportswear inspired by knitwear, which can - and should - also be worn by women.

"As a designer running my very small eponymous brand in Slovenia, it's impossible for me to survive financially on this resource alone. What's more, the Slovenian market is extremely small, and doesn't include enough people who are culturally open to fashion and design. OPENMYMED PRIZE will help us to develop my brand internationally."
