MOTIVATIONS
I'm finally back in my home country and things haven't been welcoming at all. Interaction with other cultures has always been very important to my creative process, so cultural heritage and craft methodology will be key to creating this business. Now I'm at a stage where I have to compromise and give up or push myself even harder to create something beautiful but more fulfilling and challenging.

IN LINE WITH MMM VALUES (CRAFT TECH CARE & GIVE BACK):
This idea will evolve for all designers who want to learn more and be inspired by Greek culture and traditional textile making. Diversity is the key factor in making this work a success, and in learning and understanding the different ways artists and designers work, as well as establishing links, contacts and friendships that can make things work on an international level.

TAJIMA PRIZE
Melissanthi Spei was the winner selected by Japanese embroidery leader Tajima, whose European division is based in La Ciotat, in the South of France. They are currently working on the application and development of hand embroidery on an industrial scale.
