MOTIVATIONS
I decided to apply for the OpenMyMed prize for several reasons. I think I would benefit greatly from mentoring in marketing, branding and structure. In addition, I'd also like the opportunity to meet other designers from the Mediterranean - and perhaps discuss future ideas for collaboration with them by engaging in a conversation about craft, culture, art, thought and design.

The Ahmed Amer brand is a platform for change, expression, dialogue and discovery. Through collaborations with artisans, tailors, embroiderers, bag, accessory and product designers; the brand encourages the surrounding community to create their own interpretations of self-expression, while bringing their different experiences and coming together to create something unique and collaborative.
