Kemahïs Ben-Lakhdar: a voice on Afro-Mediterranean aesthetics

Kemahïs Ben-Lakhdar, winner of the 2019-2021 Research Fund, recently shared his work at the Africana seminar at the École Normale Supérieure, focusing on Afro-Mediterranean aesthetics. His talk provided a valuable insight into the shifting imaginaries of the global South, between design, heritage and contemporary narrative.

He continued this reflection at the Salon du Monde Arabo-Amazigh on May 24 and 25, where he was invited to speak on the links between design, memory and identity. An inspiring presence, true to the mission of the Endowment Fund to support emerging voices that nurture critical thinking and engaged creation.
