After training in fashion design at Esmod Beirut, Raya Morcos apprenticed with Maison Rabih Kayrouz as head of design. In 2009, she founded her own brand: Bird on a Wire.
His first collection of square shirts, dubbed "80x80x80", was sold at the Starch boutique in Saifi village. This was followed by a collective exhibition at the Beirut Art Center in 2011, entitled "Amidon votre été".
In July 2014, Bird on a Wire was shortlisted for the Woolmark 2015 First Prize.
"Rayya Morcos finally "left". For her small fashion label, "Bird On a Wire", a name inspired by a Leonard Cohen song, Beirut was too narrow. Our bird on a wire, aware of its fragility, now works from Los Angeles to breathe a new ethic into clothing through practices where a wind of contemporary art blows...".
