ARCHIVES - THE MMM PRIMER: SIMON PORTE JACQUEMUS

Provence is a land of talent and inspiration, the birthplace of Christian Lacroix, Yacine Aouadi and Simon Porte Jacquemus!
These genius designers are redesigning the dress codes of our Provencal and Mediterranean cultural folklore, and all bear witness to their attachment to Marseille.

Talented, sunny and determined, Simon Porte Jacquemus is following his instinct: to raise the JACQUEMUS label to the heights of the "Glory of his mother" who left too soon.
Maison Mode Méditerranée (MMM) has produced three landmark events at the Mucem and MAC Contemporary Art Museum.

The santons de Provence parade gave the Mucem footbridge its most beautiful international image.

linking Rudy Ricciotti's architectural prowess with the emotion felt by thousands of spectators and millions of Internet users. The sight of a sublimated pastoral dressing room, underlined the graceful, hatted silhouettes.

La Chapelle, a 12th-century jewel case, took a giant step into the 21st century: the century of social networks, where Simon excels: a chapel invested by a multitude of screens projecting his social network.
Then, for the "Marseille Je T'aime" exhibition at the MAC, he hung the sublime photos taken by Willy Dorner and David Luraki in the Calanques natural park. An accumulation of colors and bodies made possible by the performance of dancers from the Julien Lestel company.
On the roof of Le Modulor in Le Corbusier, under the friendly eye of OraIto, Simon signed the book Marseille Je T'aime. True to its promise, Jacquemus continues to make Marseille and the surrounding region the center of the world several times a year, at least for fashion...
