"In 1998, an installation took place at the Musée de la Mode under the impetus of its curator, Olivier Saillard, fashion historian Florence Müller and designer Alexander Van Slobbe; the Stijl style put on a show. "

In July 1965, couturier Yves Saint-Laurent's Mondrian collection triumphed. It surprised with its sense of cut and play of simple colors. The collarless, sleeveless jersey dress of the same name appeared on the cover of Vogue magazine in September 1965, and is the first known example of the Mondrian process applied to a fashion consumer dress.
In 1998, an installation was installed at the Musée de la Mode under the impetus of curator Olivier Saillard, fashion historian Florence Müller and designer Alexander Van Slobbe: the Stijl style makes a show. The exhibition retraces 25 garments and accessories based on the Mondrian motif. JC de Castelbajac, Manon Martin, Andréa Pfisster, Kenzo, Patrick Cox and Yohji Yamamoto are all represented.
During the opening, Alexander Van Slobbe, for his SO brand, chose to create a performance: "Alexander Van Slobbe meets Mondrian, overtaking the yellow line? In a 3D version, he designed three compositions in elastic openwork fiber, articulated in a staggered fashion, becoming a veritable pictorial support. A team led by Florence Müller filmed the event, which was part of a documentary devoted to Art and Fashion.
