ARCHIVES - THE MMM PRIMER: KOCHÉ

"Christelle Kocher's captivating look at our cosmopolitan city and the energy it generates.

La Maison Mode Méditerranée is often a multicultural facilitator of dreams. It has given Christelle Kocher unique experiences as an orchestra conductor, at the crossroads of fashion and art.

Her Spring-Summer 2019 collection "Le Sud Bébé" was presented, not in Paris, but in Marseille in June 2018! It was an incredible fashion show on the Corsica Linéa ship, with models for a day who mark a collection: Marseilles anomymes, crew members including even the captain, and all in unison wore the colors of this Sud Bébé!

Christelle, with the help of her friend, curator Anissa Touati, chose to exhibit young international artists such as John Armeleder, Morgane Tshiember, Diego Blanchi, Jef Gibbons, etc. for the1st time in France. They created an urban cultural itinerary between the emblematic J1 on the Port and several stores on Rue de la République, which have since been transformed into art galleries.

Christelle Kocher offers us a captivating look at our cosmopolitan city, and the energy it generates. "Marseille superimposes colors, population, culture open to the Mediterranean; it's a millefeuilles unique in the world.

Christelle is quite right! From experience, I often tell her the famous adage: "You either love Marseille and accept it, or you hate it - it won't tolerate any half-heartedness". One thing's for sure, Christelle has chosen her side!
